This truck is Hino’s flagship. Ideally suited for heavy-duty applications including car carrier, building materials delivery, general freight, and reefer bodies. The 338 is also available with air suspension, for applications requiring delivery of sensitive cargo. Available wheel bases: 175 to 271 inches.

The 338 is equipped with the Hino 260 H.P. J-Series OHC 4-valve turbocharged, intercooled 6 cylinder engine.

The 338 comes standard with a 6 speed Eaton FS6406A manual transmission with availability of an optional 5 speed Allison 3000 RDS Automatic transmission. Braking is accomplished by a full air brake system, with front and rear drums with ABS. A Dealer installed exhaust brake kit is also available.

The 2006 338 Hino comes standard with Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Tilt and Telescopic Steering Wheel, Electric Windows, AM/FM CD player, Air Suspension Seat, Self-Adjusting Clutch, Oil Lubricated Front Wheel Bearings, a 3 Piece Front Bumper, Dual Fuel Tanks and a Chrome Grille.
